Engineers... this site
is about YOU.

This site brings you answers to your questions—to questions you didn’t know you had—to questions that you can’t find satisfactory answers to or don’t want to ask aloud. The goal is to provide a platform that shares stories, advice, and tips to those with an engineering spirit at all career levels and at all rungs on the ladder towards greater self achievement. What’s it like to be an engineer? What can I do? What should I do? What opportunities exist which can lead me to a path of professional fulfillment? Here you will find the “good” and the “bad” of the engineer’s life; and hopefully, you will come to find that the perceptions of “good” and “bad” in engineering are relative to the frame of reference you hold and that it is possible to tailor your career to one filled with “good” by becoming more informed, more empowered, and to take the initiative to actively design your career to match your life’s goals.

Ultimately, the aim is to help YOU. So, welcome to the site—ENJOY!

My dad was a licensed Mechanical Engineer with his own firm; so somehow I figured that this experience magically transferred to me through the ether and that I didn’t really need to do much research on what engineering was all about, how to become an engineer, or even if I’d actually like it. I just “knew” it was meant for me. Needless to say… that wasn’t exactly the best way to start…
