Becoming an Engineer

Engineering is the foundation for our modern world. Take a moment to think of the things we often take for granted:

clean water, sanitation, and electricity illuminating the night

refrigeration preserving the foods we love

roads, bridges, trains, and cars transporting us into the future

the physical infrastructure supporting our interconnected virtual world

All of these things were brought to us by engineers. Engineering increases our standard of living and inspires us by bringing the unimaginable into everyday use. To be counted as a member of this indispensable profession of progress requires imagination, hard work, and an appreciation for the pursuit of ever more knowledge.
